The Best Motorcycle Helmets Have Multiple Benefits

There’s no feeling quite like riding a motorcycle. The mix of power and freedom as you drive down the road is legitimately fantastic. There’s naturally a downside. Motorcycles are certainly more dangerous to drive than cars or SUVs. Then again, that’s part of the thrill. However, it’s crucial to protect oneself from injury to enjoy more time on the road.

Arguably the most important piece of protective equipment that you can wear on the road is a motorcycle helmet. These helmets provide you with high levels of protection. Good helmets are also comfortable and help cool the head with good airflow. Oftentimes you get what you pay for when it comes to helmets. What follows is a list of some of the best motorcycle helmets on the market today. Any of them would probably provide fine protection when you’re out on the open road. Make sure to choose one that fits your budget and fits your head!

1 - LS2 Valiant Modular

This helmet is incredibly aerodynamic and it features a style that you might not expect from a motorcycle helmet. It looks more like it’s coming from a sci fi movie with some sort of flying vehicle. Despite the helmet being light, it’s very strong. It also features thick lining and padding. The padding can be removed and washed, so some extra sweat won’t turn the helmet into something you need to avoid smelling. The visor features excellent sun protection, so you won’t get too hot while riding.

2 - Klim TK1200 Illumino Hi-Viz

It’s incredibly lightweight and has some of the best ventilation that’s ever been found in a motorcycle helmet. This ventilation also features a liner which wicks away moisture. Combined with all the fresh air, it’s one of the coolest helmets you can wear while riding. The face shield is also impressive. It’s a transitions shield, meaning that it will adjust to the light levels as the day goes on.

3 - Bilt Techno 2.0 Evolution Sena Bluetooth Modular

This helmet runs around $250 depending on which retailer you are using. Arguably the best feature of this helmet is the bluetooth functionality it has. It also features a weeks worth of standby time, so even if you forget to charge it, it’ll be ready for use. 4- Shoei XR1100

If you’re looking for a helmet that absolutely focuses on safety and extra protection, this is a wonderful choice. Materials used are elastic, but incredibly strong. This means that if the helmet strikes something, it distributes the force onto a wider area. The foam liner is strong and hefty. During an impact, the helmet will compress well and absorb the maximum amount of force possible. The cheek pads remain removable and can be swapped for more comfortable ones if the helmet doesn’t fit that well. Ventilation may not be quite as good as some other helmets, but it does feature four vents that push out hot air from the helmet as you drive.
