2021 Hyundai Elantra Highlights

With the 2021 Elantra, you are just in time for a complete redesign. Hyundai has expanded the exterior by making it longer and wider, and there are also new hybrid and performance trim levels. A great thing about the 2021 Elantra is that so many up-to-date features come standard. Passengers will find that they have a great deal of room inside of the cabin, and the fuel efficiency is impressive at 33 miles per gallon in the city and 43 miles per gallon on the highway.

2021 Elantra Trim Levels

SE

The base trim level is the SE, which comes with a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces horsepower of 147. Standard safety features include a forward collision mitigation system with pedestrian detection, rear cross traffic alert, a blind-spot monitor, and lane keeping assist. If the vehicle senses that the driver’s attention is compromised, there is a driver attention warning that provides an alert. Other standard features include an 8-inch touchscreen, LED daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, and a four-speaker audio system. The SE is also Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible.

SEL

The SEL builds upon what is offered in the SE with 16-inch alloy wheels, push button start, keyless entry, a six-speaker audio system, and satellite radio. There is also dual-zone automatic climate control. With the SEL, there is a convenience package available as an add-on that includes an upgraded forward collision mitigation system, adaptive cruise control, and heated front seats. It also includes a wireless smartphone charging pad.

There is also a premium package available that includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a dark chrome front grille, a power adjusted driver’s seat, and a sunroof. In addition, this package includes an eight speaker Bose premium audio system, and Hyundai Digital Key, which allows the driver to use their smartphone as a key to open the car.

Limited

In addition to all of the features included with the previous trim levels, the Limited comes with even more upgrades. The seats are leather trimmed, there is a 10.25-inch touchscreen with navigation, and a voice recognition system. There is also rear automatic braking, and an enhanced lane keeping assistance.

Elantra N Line

This is a sportier version of the SEL, and it comes with additional features such as sport-tuned shock absorbers and springs, an upgraded rear suspension system, distinct exterior styling, and combination leather and cloth seats. There are also 18-inch alloy wheels that can be paired with special performance tires. The N Line comes with a turbocharged engine that produces horsepower of 201.

Elantra N

This new trim level is for drivers looking for a high-performance vehicle. It comes with bigger brakes, special exterior styling, and sport front seats. The Elantra N adds adaptive dampers to the upgraded suspension system that comes with the N Line, and 19-inch alloy wheels are also available. The N is powered by a 2.0-liter 4 cylinder engine that produces horsepower of 276 and 289 lb-ft of torque.

Hybrid

The Hybrid version comes in two different trim levels. Both levels have an estimated fuel efficiency of 53 miles per gallon in the city, and 56 miles per gallon on the highway. The inline 4-cylinder hybrid engine operates along with a 240-volt battery, and there are normal, sport, and smart driving modes. The Hybrid comes with all of the safety features that are standard in the other trim levels.
