Comfort and Cargo Space Is the Hallmark of the Cadillac Escalade

There’s not many vehicles that are beloved by government employees, diplomats, and hip hop stars. The Cadillac Escalade has a unique place in the automotive landscape of America. It’s big, it’s comfortable and it simply oozes luxury.

The 2021 version of the Escalade is much the same. It knows what it is and it continues to work to refine the important aspects of its nature. The 2021 version of the Escalade features an extended redesign. Both the exterior and interior of the Escalade have been vastly improved. The new front end still has the large grille look from previous Escalades, but the new headlight looks gives the Escalade a visual kick that it’s been missing for a few years. There’s really a lot to like about the 2021 Escalade. If you have the money and need a vehicle that provides comfort, luxury, cargo space and power, you need to look at the Escalade. This article will attempt to provide a nice introduction to many of the great things the new Escalade has going on.

2021 Escalade Best Features

Arguably the biggest knock against the Escalade has always been the poor fuel economy. The new version isn’t going to win awards for lack of consumption, but it’s a huge improvement. The 420 horsepower V8 engine will actually deactivate half of the cylinders when it has reached cruising speed and it doesn’t need the extra power. This lets the Escalade cruise along a lot farther before hitting up the pumps. The Turbo-Diesel is also an option, with both being paired with a really good 10 speed automatic transmission.

Despite the powertrain, the best feature of the Escalade is the interior and the level of comfort it offers. Aside from the base Trim level, you’re going to be draped in real leather and the top of the line options have semi-aniline hides. The dash and door panels are covered in leather as well. A subtle but nice touch is the interior ambient lighting. It’s adjustable and can appear however you want it to. This sort of intricate attention to detail is really found throughout the vehicle. Somehow, if you get the long-wheelbase version of the Escalade, there’s even more space for cargo and legroom in the back. What seemed to be impossible has once again been made possible by Cadillac.

Trim Levels

The Escalade has five different trim levels when you’re trying to figure out which one is the best option to buy. The “base” level model is the Luxury trim. That alone should tell you all you need to know about the Escalade in a single sentence. The luxury model starts at just under $78,000. The next step up is the Premium Luxury trim level with a price starting just under $85,000. The Sport version has some tweaks and comes in with a price tag just under $88,000. The Premium Luxury Platinum model starts just over $101,000 and the Sport Platinum model starts over $102,000.

It may be difficult to determine which of the trim levels is the best fit. Arguably, the Premium Luxury Platinum version is the best way to go. Sure you’re paying more, but the sticker price is already quite high, even with the basic luxury option. The Premium Luxury Platinum version adds a large number of features like 16 direction adjustable power front seats. They also come with massage, making them even more comfortable. The AKG sound system is incredible. You’re also looking at self parking, adaptive cruise control, heads up display and a host of fantastic features.
