Nissan Culture Produces Excellent Vehicles in 2019

Nissan’s vehicles continue to improve year after year. Their vehicles feature a great mix of impressive interior comfort with some of the best sports tuning possible. While their base models are great, upgrading to one of their NISMO models can turn a regular sedan into a rocket driven by human hands.

Most Nissan models feature the latest in standard technology on the inside, and safety technology on the outside. Overall, they have struck a great balance between luxury, safety, modern features, comfort and drivability. It’s something that many companies simply haven’t been able to figure out as of yet. All specs are for 2019 models, unless otherwise unavailable.

Nissan Altima

Specifications: $24,895+ - 39 mpg - 188 hp

Review: The Altima continues to be a highlight in the Nissan lineup and has received an exterior rework for 2019. The new look is sleek and stylish. As a new rework, the Altima had every gadget and tech option you could want, including both safety and entertainment features. The interior has plenty of room in both the front and rear of the cabin. The Accord should be nervous. The Altima is ready if it slips up even a little bit.

Nissan Armada

Specifications: $48,495+ - 18 mpg - 390 hp

Review: It’s big, it’s expensive and it’s loaded with comfort. The Armada is the king of the Nissan SUV/Crossover lineup. The interior is incredibly spacious with room for everyone. It’s comfortable and uses tastefully sophisticated materials. Fuel economy is something that is only whispered at in the shadows, as the Armada drinks gasoline for fun. That being said, it’s a quality choice for people who value their comfort while driving.

Nissan GT-R

Specifications: $101,000+ - 22 mpg - 565 hp

Review: Admittedly not many people are going to be able to drive this insane Nissan supercar. The GT-R is designed to do one thing, and that’s drive. The power is incredible and the handling is out of this world. In addition, the front seats are comfortable to sit in as well. The quality of the interior can’t really match the sports cars from Germany, but that extra money is put into the mechanics of the GT-R. The back seats are for insurance purposes only and no adult human could really consider sitting in one without needing a visit to the chiropractor afterwards.

Nissan Kicks

Specifications: $19,685+ - 36 mpg - 125 hp

Review:  While the name may be less than ideal, the Kicks is a great compact crossover. Fuel economy is excellent and many independent tests have even exceeded their posted 36 mpg highway. The 1.6 liter four cylinder is small, but so is the Kicks. It’s not fast, but it’s not dreadfully slow. Despite the small size, the Kicks somehow manages to provide a huge amount of storage space in the rear. Finally, it’s a good looking vehicle that manages a good mix of modern and traditional styling cues.

Nissan Leaf

Specifications: $30,885+ - 150 mile range - 147 hp

Review: The Leaf is Nissan’s main electric vehicle option. The Leaf also has a Leaf Plus trim level that can increase power to 214 hp with a larger battery. The Leaf S Plus manages to increase the solid 150 mile range out to 215 miles. The Leaf can also come with self driving technology for people interested. The downside to the Leaf is that many of the best features and things people will want require upgrades to the better trim levels, which add between $7,000 and $13,000 to the sticker price.

Nissan Maxima

Specifications: $34,945+ - 30 mpg - 300 hp

Review: The 2019 Maxima is one of Nissan’s best models. In fact, the 2019 Maxima is quite simply one of 2019’s best cars. It’s loaded with features, powerful and looks great thanks to the most recent redesign. There’s plenty of power under the hood and handling is surprisingly aggressive. Despite this power, the Maxima features an impressive 30 mpg highway. Quite simply, the Maximua is an upscale vehicle that can compete with cars almost $20,000 more expensive.

Nissan Murano

Specifications: $32,415+ - 27 mpg - 260 hp

Review: The Murano adds a bit of flair to crossover styling. It’s bold and draws the eye. The interior is plush and comfortable. It’s loaded with standard features, which admittedly brings up the base price. The Murano is a modern upscale crossover, but that comes at a cost. Unlike some competitors, the towing capacity is rather weak. Handling is also surprisingly clumsy for a vehicle this appealing.

Nissan Pathfinder

Specifications: $32,575+ - 26 mpg - 284 hp

Review: The Pathfinder continues to march on. 2019 features a solid V6 putting out decent horsepower. The CVT attached to the engine perhaps doesn’t get the most out of it, but it isn’t a detriment like some CVTs out there. The Pathfinder offers solid safety technology standard instead of optional. On the downside, cargo space is limited in a vehicle of this size. The Pathfinder is a solid, if unspectacular midsize SUV/Crossover.

Nissan Rogue

Specifications: $26.065+ - 33 mpg - 170 hp

Review: The Rogue has become a very popular option for people looking for a midsize crossover. The Rogue can come in gas or hybrid versions. The gas version is quite good for fuel economy, but is perhaps a tad sluggish. The Rogue is a good looking vehicle both inside and out. If there’s one complaint about the interior, it’s that the rear legroom is low and third row seating is for small children only.

Nissan Sentra

Specifications: $18,785+ - 29 mpg - 124 hp

Review: The Sentra offers up a comfortable ride and plenty of room in the back seat. It also features tech toys like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The remainder of the Sentra comes out fairly bland unless you try to get the NISMO version of it. However, if you go NISMO, you’re certainly paying for it. There are better options out there in those cases.

Nissan Titan

Specifications: $32.085+ - 18 mpg - 390 hp

Review: The Titan is an impressive pickup truck. It may never manage to topple the domestic truck makers, but the Titan is a vehicle that can match up. The best feature is the luxury cabin. It’s quiet and the seats are incredibly comfortable. The downside is when it comes to heavy use. If you need your pickup for work, the Titan tows the least of all competitors. The styling of the truck is fairly average, but that’s not why most people are buying it anyway.

Nissan Versa

Specifications: $13,355+ - 39 mpg - 109 hp

Review: The Versa has specifically been built for one purpose. It’s meant to provide incredibly cheap transportation to people who need it. The Versa is the cheapest mass produced vehicle in the United States. It’s slow, the ride is bad, the interior looks cheaper than the price. However, there are some good things. It’s got a nice back seat size wise. The trunk has some decent size. In the end, you get what you pay for.

Nissan Z

Specifications: $30,985+ - 26 mpg - 350 hp

Review: The Nissan Z continues to be an exciting and fun driving option. Starting at a reasonable price, the standard V6 provides plenty of power in the 370Z. The Z is available with either a 6 speed manual or a 7 speed automatic. Unlike a lot of sports cars, the interior of the 370Z is well appointed and comfortable. It’s not loaded with options, but it looks good and is well put together.
