A Body Kit Could Add Some Personality to Your Car

Body kits are one of the best ways to put your own touch on your vehicle without having to be a complete expert. Body kits alter the styling of your vehicle. Typically they give it a sportier more exciting look. It may be more or less aerodynamic, but most importantly it looks good and is distinctly yours! 1 - Ground Effects Kits

These are some of the most popular kits that anyone can pick up for their car. Ground effects kits have one goal. They want to make your car look good closer to the ground. These kits can be purchased for the front or rear bumper, but usually both. These may arguably be the easiest of any type of body kit to install. Most of the items will easily bolt onto the frame after the original bumper is removed. A good ground effect kit will also provide more downforce to the car by limiting the air that runs beneath it. It’s important to note that you need to be careful when ground effects kits. They will certainly lower the available ride height. Driving instincts need to be adjusted after installation or you may drive over a speed bump a little too fast. 

2 - Wide Body Kits

Adding a wide body look to your car is definitely something that can be classified as happily distinctive. Wide body kits come in different levels. The goal is to extend the width of the back end of the vehicle. In some cases this is done with fender flares. In more serious cases, it’s completed with entire fender replacements. These are great body kits because they also allow the option of using wide rear tires. 

3 - Spoiler Kits

Much like fashion, added spoilers will often go in and out of style as well. When in fashion, every vehicle seems to offer one as an option. When they go away, you need to use a body kit to add a spoiler to your vehicle. They aren’t the easiest kits to install, so you definitely need to make sure that you have the tools required before buying the kit. Having someone who has some experience with body kits is also a good choice. 

4 - Full Body Kits

These are the most exhaustive and encompassing of body kits. Full body kits are often designed for specific cars so that the entire kit works. Usually a full body kit will have a new hood, new bumpers for the front and back, and side skirts for each side. When you’re installing, you need to be careful you don’t damage the existing bumpers in case you need to revert back to them in the future. Some full body kits may also include extras like gullwing or vertical door mounts for a really impressive look!
